Issue: when you visit your website via https:// (for example, https://www.nyhost.org ), it may show "insecure page" error or browser may not display "lock" icon near "URL" on the top. Let's troubleshoot at once!

1. Please make sure that you have valid SSL (it didn't expire). You can press F12 in the browser (like Google Chrome) then navigate "Security > View certificate".

2. If you installed SSL recently, you may need to clear browser cache or access your website via different browser.

3. Please check HTML source of your template. All images, CSS, java code, external content, ads etc must be within https:// or with https:// prefix. For example, this piece of code will break secure (SSL) connection:

4. You have valid SSL, all content is with https:// but page still produces SSL warning? In this case, you need to check external content. It's possible that their SSL expired or revoked. You may need to remove that source/plugin or contact script vendor.

NYhost.net offers free Lifetime SSLs from Let's Encrypt Authority (LEA) or 1 year commercial SSLs from Sectigo or Geotrust. We also provide free professional SSL installations and renewals! If you need any assistance with your SSL, please contact us at any time.
