While we cannot prevent DoS and DDoS, we can certainly mitigate it. All hosting plans have basic DDoS protection. That means we can automatically filter attackers on network level (via Cisco firewall). However, we cannot mitigate bot attacks which may trigger cPanel resource usage limits.

You or your visitors may occasionally see "resource limit reached" error especially if you run Wordpress or Joomla websites. If you're under attack, please login to cPanel then check "resource usage".

How to resolve "Resource Usage" errors

There are few steps you should try:

1. Make sure that you run latest Wordpress or Joomla scripts (core files). Plugins and themes must be current.

2. If you run Wordpress, please secure it with free Wordfence plugin. It will block most bot attacks instantly. Wordfence Premium is recommended for all commercial users. It cost only $99 per year.

3. Disable user registration on your website (unless you require it).

4. Disable "comments". "Contact us" form must be protected with latest Google Captcha.

5. If you still see high CPU or memory usage inside cPanel resource usage, please contact us. We can temporarily add more CPU and memory to your website.

6. If this didn't help, you should consider CloudFlare service. It will keep your website alive during massive DDoS.

Someone is DoSing my website!

Please send us abusive IP or list of IPs. We'll block it on firewall level.
